TEHRAN (IQNA) – The organizing committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (Dihqa) said it is fully geared up for the third edition of the city’s international Quran contest for women.

The event, named Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition, will run on November 4-16.

The announcement was made by Ibrahim Mohamed Bu Melha, Head of Dihqa Organizing Committee, on Saturday.

So far, 63 female memorizers of the entire Quran from around the world have confirmed participation in the competition, GToday reported.

“Contestants, expected to arrive in the UAE as of next Thursday, Nov 1, will be warmly received at the Dubai International Airport by a number of well-trained groups of volunteers and PR staffers.”

Other teams will take care of transport, accommodation, the competition auditorium at the Scientific and Cultural Association, Al Mamzar, and the concluding ceremony, he added. “The PR Unit has picked up the female volunteers to accompany the contestants and attend to their needs during their stay.”
